I'm thrilled to welcome you to Vital Pauses, your go-to hub for navigating the wild ride of perimenopause with grace, strength, and a touch of empowerment. Let me introduce myself—I'm Coach Maya, a passionate advocate for empowering women through sports and a certified menopause coach.


The journey to Vital Pauses began with a realization born from my own experiences. At 46, I've been on this rollercoaster of perimenopause for at least 5 years (and let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure!). Like many of you, I initially brushed off symptoms as something else or simply thought I was losing my mind. It wasn't until I had candid conversations with some amazing women—my customers, friends, and fellow warriors—that I realized we were all sailing in the same boat.


Our talks were almost conspirational, sharing tales of random symptoms, until it dawned on me that we were all in a sort of no mans land as we waited for menopause- the realisation that perimenopause can last for up to 10 years for some women astounded me even further! What struck me even more was the lack of concrete information available to us. That's when I decided to pivot my focus and become a certified menopause coach, because every woman deserves accurate information, support, and a community that understands.
